About Me

Capturing moments has been a passion of mine since I was child when I picked up my first camera. It was a Polaroid Instant camera.  I could frame a moment in my mind then take a photograph freezing in time the emotion of the moment as it was happening. I never hesitated to photograph people or images and thrived on the reaction by my audience once they’ve seen the finished image.

As a hobby I would carry my camera with me where ever I went.  Being involved in different recreational sports and following my two sons around, I would capture more amazing moments for us and others to enjoy.  I noticed I would get repeated compliments of how talented I was.  When people started requesting to pay for my services while using my starter Cannon Rebel T2, I decided to take myself more seriously.  I upgraded my camera equipment and enrolled in Photography courses at Waubonsee Community College.  It wasn’t long before I began to develop skills and was being recognized by my instructors with an eye for great composition.

My instructors requested to display my work in the exhibits at the school as well as enter contests for more recognition.  My piece “Almost home” won a spot in the SKYWAY juried art competition.  My piece “EAT MY DUST” is published in the Photographer’s Forum Magazine, 35th Annual College Photography Contest 2015 as a finalist.  My piece “Mighty Force” is published in the Horizons Literary Magazine of Waubonsee Community College.

I am always looking for new ways to capture a moment.  If you have an idea or simply would like to roll with my ideas, I would love to work with you and will do everything I can to make the image reflect your personality and express the ideas you would like to showcase.
