What an incredible day celebrating Abby's graduation as a 2026 Senior! Abby’s Senior Portrait Session beautifully reflected both her athletic side and her timeless, classic style, creating a collection of images that truly celebrate who she is during this exciting season of life.

We began Abby’s session where she feels most at home, on the softball field.
As a dedicated softball athlete, it was important to capture Abby in her element. The softball diamond holds so many memories, hard work, friendships, wins, challenges, and countless hours of dedication.

Third base is Abby’s position, so naturally, we made sure to create images that highlighted this important part of her story.

We photographed Abby throughout the field, capturing both powerful athletic moments and quieter, reflective portraits that showcase her personality beyond the game. Standing confidently on third base, glove in hand, Abby looked completely at home, strong, focused, and confident. We incorporated movement, action inspired posing, and dramatic athletic portraits that celebrate the determination and commitment that athletics build over the years.
Of course, we also made time for some fun and creative images! One of my favorite moments was incorporating softballs into the session, surrounding Abby in the grass for playful, unique portraits that reflected her love for the sport in a more artistic way.

We also captured some beautiful softer moments with Abby laying back in the grass, gazing toward the camera. These images created such a sweet contrast to the athletic portraits and highlighted her natural beauty and personality.

After wrapping up at the softball field, we headed to the stunning grounds of Cantigny Park for the classic portion of Abby’s Senior Portrait Session.

Cantigny Park is one of my favorite locations for Senior Portraits because it offers such a beautiful variety of scenery, gardens, architecture, pathways, and timeless backdrops that photograph beautifully in every season. As we wandered throughout the grounds, we carefully selected locations that complemented Abby’s personal style and brought out the best in each outfit she selected.

One of the things I love most about planning Senior Sessions is collaborating beforehand to create a cohesive vision. Prior to her session, Abby sent me photos of her outfits so we could thoughtfully plan where each look would be photographed. This allowed us to coordinate colors, textures, and scenery, helping create a gallery that feels beautifully connected from beginning to end. Every stop along our path was intentionally selected to complement Abby’s clothing choices, personality, and style.

Throughout the gardens and pathways of Cantigny, Abby looked absolutely stunning. From elegant and timeless portraits to more relaxed and playful moments, every location gave us something unique and beautiful. These are the kinds of images that become treasured keepsakes for both Seniors and parents for years to come.

As the session continued, we made our way to the fun yellow chair for one of my favorite parts of the day. Abby instantly brought so much personality into these images, playful, spunky, and full of joy. We captured lots of different poses, laughter, and genuine expressions that reflected her fun spirit. I always love when Seniors allow themselves to relax and simply enjoy the experience. Some of the best images happen in those candid moments of confidence and laughter.

To wrap up the evening, one final location on the beautifully sculpted grounds caught my eye and felt like the perfect ending to Abby’s session. The setting was peaceful and picturesque, giving us an opportunity for a few final playful portraits. Abby sat criss cross apple sauce, laughing and enjoying the moment, creating the sweetest final images to close out an unforgettable day.

Abby, thank you for trusting me to capture such an important milestone in your life. Your beauty, confidence, athletic dedication, and sweet personality made this session so special. Wishing you an incredible Senior Year and all the best as you continue chasing your dreams at the next stop!
