Creative Portrait Photography of Multi-Sport Senior, Payton

Meet Payton, a delightful 2023 grad who will receive her diploma from West Aurora High School this spring.

Because Payton is talented in multiple sports, we captured her in a few different locations and outfits, to embody her different interests and passions.

First up, volleyball. Payton is a talented volleyball player who thrives as a blocker. Her athleticism is captured in the studio images below. She also brought her letterman jacket, which shows her accomplishments as a high school athlete. She is confident and poised, and truly brought her athletic spirit into her session.

In the studio, we also captured images of her in her track uniform, doing what she does best as a high jumper. Creative portrait photography for this senior meant fast-paced, action-packed shots.

As you can tell, Payton is both a passionate and talented high school athlete who thrives in both volleyball and track and field.

If you’re looking for creative portrait photography, adding special effects can be a great way to make your images pop. You can see more images like this in my Fire & Water Custom Artwork Blog.

For the outdoors portion of our session together, Payton braved the cold weather to capture some beautiful shots. She was such a trooper, and we had lots of fun regardless of the chilly fall day.

The gorgeous yellows and reds of the fall leaves created a breathtaking natural backdrop for Payton’s outdoor images.

Some black and white outdoor images add a reflective and dramatic note to the gallery.

We visited a location popping with color, and Payton bought a few fun changes of outfits, meaning that she has many different looks within her gallery. This reflects the many aspects of her personality and passions.

Payton’s sweet St. Bernard, Hoss, made an adorable appearance. I love when seniors want to incorporate different parts of their lives into their session, whether that be sports, interests, fun outfits, or pets!

Payton was simply a delight to work with this past fall, and I wish her nothing but the best as she ventures out to Colorado to begin her college journey at Colorado State University in the fall. I truly enjoyed getting to know her and capturing her beauty, confidence, and athleticism.
